The R&D Challenge: Finding Verified Material Data

How do you find accurate, verified material data? How can you trust it?

If you are an FEA engineer, you have likely encountered the frustrating bottleneck of the Property Module in Abaqus. Searching through hundreds of academic papers, dealing with conflicting material parameters, and relying on costly experimental tests drain your R&D budget and time.

Worse yet, using uncalibrated data forces you into endless trial-and-error loops, putting the accuracy of your entire simulation at risk.

At BanuMusa R&D, we faced this exact problem during our complex Industrial FEA/CFD Consultancies. To solve it permanently, we developed MatLib—a comprehensive Abaqus material database. Now, you no longer need to search, validate, or calibrate data from scratch. You can import simulation-ready materials with a single click.

Why Top Engineering Firms Use MatLib

MatLib is designed to eliminate uncertainties and accelerate the product development lifecycle:

  • Zero Experimental Costs: Drastically reduce or eliminate the costs and time associated with physical material testing and Design of Experiments (DOE).

  • No More Handbooks: Stop wasting hours searching through dense engineering handbooks. The data is already embedded in your Abaqus/CAE environment.

  • Instant Verification: Never second-guess your parameters. Every material in the MatLib database is pre-verified against trusted references.

  • Comprehensive Properties: Beyond basic elasticity, MatLib includes advanced properties for plasticity, damage evolution, thermal transfer, and strain-rate dependencies. (Need to calibrate custom Johnson-Cook parameters? Check out our Free Johnson-Cook Calibration Tool).
