Hot and cold rolling simulation
We have done many projects related to hot and cold rolling. Examples include hot rolling simulations for single and multi-stage steel and brass sheets and eleven-step cold rolling. Determining the cooling conditions, determining the roller force, determining the dimensions of the sheet after rolling, calculating the curvatures, etc. have been considered in these projects. Some of these simulations have been performed to prevent cracks and damage to the roller due to temperature fluctuations and to increase its surface temperature due to contact with the sheet.
- Predict the conditions required for cooling the part
- Predicting and determining the balance temperature of the roller despite the cooling system
- Determine the heat penetration contour to the depth of the roller
- Investigation of the effect of friction
- Investigation of the effect of cooling fluid on the roller equilibrium temperature
- Investigate the effect of rolling speed
- Considering all heat transfer conditions (radiation, convection, and contact)
- Determining the temperature of different roller layers in different conditions
- Determine the optimal friction, speed, and gap in rolling
